There are three distinction areas of film industry.

- Production
-Distrubition
-Exhibition

Production is the main tagline from taking a simple idea and establishing it into a 'Hollywood' based film. There are nine stages for this to happen.

1) The film has to have an idea through a source of inspiration.
- Director
-Producer
-Writer

2) There has to involve a development of finance towards the film.

3) Once the finance has been evaluated the writer needs to develop a script which works on individual features such as:
- Narrative
-Step outline
-Sales treatment
-The sypnosis of the film
-Final draft

4) Packaging moment
- Genre of the film
- Merchandise
-Target audience
-Spin off features
-Production schedule

5) The development of finance will eventually relate into the exact finance towards the film through investors,pre-sales and insurances of completion bonds.

6)Pre production
-Full story board
-Full cast
-Equipment (props.etc)
-Set design
-Special featured effects such as 3D.

7) The shoot
- Director and producer will shoot the scenes to develop an organised motion for this final take.

8) Post production

- Working on sound and digital sound
- Rough cut
-Final cut

9) Distribution to different companies of the final monatged film.

True Grit releases the 9 stages of the film to argue whether or not it should be a film to sell. In my opinion I would not have re made this film because of the lack of loctaion, guns, wars etc.
